flowerHello, welcome to my website where you can find out more about myself, my counselling service and how I work and more about how counselling could be helpful to you.

I am a fully qualified BACP Accredited counsellor with considerable experience gained over many years through my work within the health service, voluntary sector organisations and my private practice.

My qualifications include:

  • RMN (1991)
  • Diploma in Counselling Skills (1998)
  • BSc (Hons) Community Specialist Practitioner (Community Mental Health) (2002)
  • Graduate Diploma Integrative Counselling (2003).

I offer a counselling service that is professional, discrete, respectful and non-judgemental.

I have considerable experience working with clients on a wide range of issues including: abuse, anxiety, bereavement, depression, eating difficulties,  family / relationship difficulties,  low confidence / self-esteem, mental health, personal growth,  sexuality,  stress,  suicide / suicidal thoughts and work related problems.

I work with individuals and couples.

I offer short-term counselling - generally between 6 -10 weeks and longer term counselling.

My practice is based in the premises of the Kirkburton Osteopathic Practice (KOP) located at Fiddlers Green Cottage, 3 Riley Lane,  Kirkburton,  Huddersfield, HD8 ORX.

The premises are situated in a quiet location just off Kirkburton village centre.   There is a free car park nearby as well as on road parking. There is also a regular bus service from Huddersfield.
